Getting a Veteran in Need a Motorized Wheelchair
A strong community is built on supporting one another, especially as our parents age and their mobility changes.
Roberta called Dine Naazbaa Partnership on behalf of her father when his health issues started to affect his mobility. Her father, Robert, is an Army veteran and was in need of a motorized wheelchair due to no longer being able to walk or stand for long periods of time, which also left him stuck in the house and unable to connect with others.

The Power of Persistence
Louise, a 26-year Air Force veteran, was initially referred to AWP by USA Cares after seeking support to obtain an Alpha-Stim device. This device is a prescription-based, non-invasive medical tool that uses Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES) to deliver mild electrical currents to the brain via ear clips, aiming to reduce anxiety, insomnia, depression, and pain by balancing brainwave activity and neurotransmitters.

On September 04, 2015, Jeremy took his own life, just two days before his 32nd birthday. This tragedy left our family with more questions than answers. The grief was overwhelming, like nothing we had felt since losing Robert. I believe that if he had made that phone call before his fateful decision, we would have come together and fought for him, just as we had done before, because that’s what my family has always done for each other.

IWP at Eli Lilly Veteran Event
IWP joined forces with the veterans of Eli Lilly to assemble care packages for those in need this Veteran's Day. While it was too icy outside to host their annual Lilly Army/Navy Flag Football Game, Eli Lilly moved the event inside serving lunch to their staff and honoring their veteran employees. Local community resources were brought in to assist veterans, veteran family members and caregivers and provide support.

Thank You for Joining Us at Gathering of Warriors
To celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Dine Naazbaa Partnership held it’s first annual Gathering of Warriors with Firebase Committee. Transportation and Home Care for a Local Veteran
When Corey received notice of an upcoming medical procedure at the VA Clinic, he faced a problem that went far beyond logistics. The procedure would require sedation, meaning he wouldn’t be able to drive himself to or from the appointment. Normally, his wife would have been by his side, but after her recent passing, Corey found himself alone and unsure where to turn for help.
