IWP at Eli Lilly Veteran Event
IWP joined forces with the veterans of Eli Lilly to assemble care packages for those in need this Veteran's Day. While it was too icy outside to host their annual Lilly Army/Navy Flag Football Game, Eli Lilly moved the event inside serving lunch to their staff and honoring their veteran employees. Local community resources were brought in to assist veterans, veteran family members and caregivers and provide support.

A Fresh Start
When Terry decided to seek help with his struggle with alcoholism, he made one of the most difficult and courageous choices in his life: he checked himself into the VA Domiciliary, determined to get sober and begin therapy. Thank You for Joining Us at Gathering of Warriors
To celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Dine Naazbaa Partnership held it’s first annual Gathering of Warriors with Firebase Committee. This unique event offered a stand down style resource fair as well as a space for Navajo veterans to seek out traditional healing practices. Transportation and Home Care for a Local Veteran
When Corey received notice of an upcoming medical procedure at the VA Clinic, he faced a problem that went far beyond logistics. The procedure would require sedation, meaning he wouldn’t be able to drive himself to or from the appointment. Normally, his wife would have been by his side, but after her recent passing, Corey found himself alone and unsure where to turn for help.

PWP & MHA Donate Much-needed Supplies to Local Community
Panhandle Warrior Partnership and the Mental Health Association of Fort Walton Beach and community came together in a powerful act of kindness this week, donating much-needed supplies to the local homeless population. Boxes and bags filled the center’s lobby, each one packed with items that will make a real difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness.

PWP's Stronger Together Resource Fair & Standdown
Gulf Coast Career Source generously donated essential items to support a community homeless outreach event. Their contribution, which included clothing, blankets, hygiene kits, helped ensure that individuals experiencing homelessness received much-needed comfort and care. The donation met immediate needs and also demonstrated the organization’s commitment to giving back and uplifting vulnerable members of the community.

Fostering Friendships

Community Construction
With the rising costs of lumber and other materials, even simple projects like building a deck have become a financial challenge. When Elaine and her Air Force veteran (1970-1990) husband, Matt, received quotes that were far beyond their budget, Matt decided to take on the deck rebuild himself. Peace of Mind
One of the most important parts of the outreach we do at Permian Warrior Partnership is that we are educating veterans, their families, and their caregivers around the Permian Basin about who we are and what we can do for them. Christmas in July
In June 2025, DNP was contacted by Cecilia Sandoval of National American Indian Veterans and Bob Dalpe of the Veterans Medical Leadership Council in Phoenix, AZ, who wished to donate toys. Together with DNP case coordinator Karen Shirley, they began planning how to deliver the toys to a veteran organization in Sawmill, AZ.

New Brace, Next Steps
Daniel is a Post-911 Air Force combat veteran (3 combat tours, 1 noncombat) with 12 years of service with a 100% disability rating due to his below-the-knee amputation. He recently lost 50lbs as a result of his brace no longer fitting him correctly, which causes him a lot of pain when he walks. Daniel is very physically active and without a new brace he could end up wheelchair bound.
