America’s Warrior Partnership has newly trained care navigators and psychosocial support teams now serving Veterans in Hampton Roads, Virginia and Cheyenne, Wyoming and across our locations.
By connecting with one of AWP’s Care Navigators, you’ll receive tailored support to help find and connect you with local resources within the community for mental health care, employment, legal needs and more. Our Navigators can also assist you in enrolling in VA care to access the benefits you’ve earned.
Our Safeguard-trained Navigators are helping to build a stronger, more coordinated system of Veteran-centered care. Our goal is to prevent Veteran deaths by suicide by helping Veterans get connected to support faster, with fewer barriers.

The Mission
AWP at Hampton Roads focuses on connecting with and building a local community of veterans in in the Hampton Roads region. Our goal is to connect veterans with local resources dedicated to them, educate veterans and local businesses about each other, collaborate with organizations to help veterans, and advocate on behalf of veterans to promote local support.
We know that most veterans are living their lives proud of their service and don’t need any special services right now. However, life happens. AWP is an effort to connect us to each other so that we can support those veterans when they need it and reach out to other veterans when we need it.
America's Warrior Partnership is standing by to serve veterans, their families, and caregivers in Hampton Roads. Fill out the form to learn more and sign up, or call the number to have a conversation to learn more.
This project is made possible thanks to a grant from the Virginia Department of Veterans Services.

Safeguard Veterans Evaluation
For Veterans not yet connected to VA resources, accessing timely support can feel out of reach. That’s where the new Safeguard Veterans pilot comes in. Developed by the VA Office of Suicide Prevention, Safeguard Veterans is a one-year program dedicated to strengthening the links between care, crisis response and community support so Veterans can access the right help, no matter where they first seek it.
