Being unable to live in your house for a week due to necessary repairs can be incredibly challenging, especially with five kids in tow.
Frank is a Marine veteran (2002 to 2015) who reached out to AWP for assistance before his home underwent repairs that caused him and his family to be out of their home for over a week. With a family of seven, making ends meet is hard enough before having to budget for an unplanned week of meals eaten out due to not having access to their kitchen and pantry, so Frank was more than grateful for any assistance they could receive.

Ever wondered what $10 could do? It can save the lives of veterans like the one you're reading about in this story. Donate $10 a month and help us reach veterans before a crisis occurs. Together, we can do better. Our veterans deserve better.
AWP was able to connect Frank to the TD Foundation, a volunteer organization that provides aid to military families across the nation, who was able to cover hotel funds for Frank and his family for the week. Thanks to AWP and our partners like TD Foundation, we made sure that another veteran and his family were able to have safe housing while they were temporarily displaced.
