After losing a home and belongings in a devastating housefire, rebuilding is necessary - but where do you start? This story is a powerful testament to the strength of family and the difference a caring community can make.
Creighton Neskahi, a Marine veteran from Waterflow, NM, was recently caught in a housefire. He was rescued from inside his house by his brother, but had to be taken to the hospital for treatment due to smoke inhalation.

Ever wondered what $10 could do? It can save the lives of veterans like the one you're reading about in this story. Donate $10 a month and help us reach veterans before a crisis occurs. Together, we can do better. Our veterans deserve better.
Unknown to him while he was in the hospital, his mother and brother worked together to repair the roof of his house and some of the siding that had been damaged from the flames, however, many of his personal and household items – including clothing - had been lost in the fire.
Dine Naazbaa Partnership (DNP) reached out to Ravone Bauwens, a retired Navy and Air Force veteran who lives in Navajo County, who frequently volunteers to help veterans in Navajo Nation. Ravone stepped up without hesitation and ordered Creighton new clothes.
Thanks to DNP and members of the community like Ravone, Creighton is getting the support he needs during a difficult time.
