DNP Finds Heating Resources for Navajo Veteran During Harsh Winter

Winter is a brutal time for veterans with a lack of available resources. This winter has been especially frigid for those on the Navajo Nation, leading to an increased need for heating sources. This was the case for Jasper Littletree, a Navajo veteran who connected with Diné Naazbaa Partnership (DNP) to help make his home a little more comfortable.

Jasper’s home lacked sufficient heating to withstand the harsh winter. Jasper spent much of his time in one room of his house in his rocking chair, which reached a particularly inhabitable temperature. After discussing his living situation with DNP, the team contacted local partners and resources. A few weeks later, a partner reached out to donate Jasper a brand-new space heater.

"Thank you so very much for this, I am grateful." – Jasper Littletree, Navajo Veteran

The DNP team delivered Jasper his heater and was satisfied to see how much of a difference this small convenience made in this veteran’s life. For many veterans, something as simple as a space heater may have the ability to transform their quality of life.
