Reliable transportation is essential for daily life. Whether it’s getting to work, making medical appointments, or caring for family, it’s critical to one’s independence.

When Marine Corps veteran (05-13), Chris Hornyak, was referred to America’s Warrior Partnership (AWP) by Wounded Warrior Project for help with a much-needed car repair, our team quickly connected him to local resources that could make a difference. Through these connections, the Chris was introduced to the COIN Foundation at the Community Learning Center in Texas. This collaboration ensured he could access both immediate and long-term support, showing the strength of community partnerships in action.

Ever wondered what $10 could do? It can save the lives of veterans like the one you're reading about in this story. Donate $10 a month and help us reach veterans before a crisis occurs. Together, we can do better. Our veterans deserve better.

Before coming to AWP, he had already applied for assistance and received a $500 payment toward his repair from another organization. While this helped, the cost of the repair still exceeded what he could cover. That’s when the COIN Foundation stepped in, covering the remaining balance and ensuring the repair was completed without delay.

Thanks to the collaboration of several organizations, one veteran now has safe and reliable transportation. A powerful reminder that together, we can do better.
