Rising Above Struggle: Supporting a Veteran Family of Eight

Life is brimming with distinctive challenges, each testing our inner strength. One veteran was recently confronted with this reality head-on when he became the sole provider for his children following the separation from his wife. Unsure where to turn, this veteran contacted The AWP Network for support.

Daniel Carpenter*, a Marine Corps veteran (’99-’03), was grappling with his and his wife’s separation after she left the marital home. While dealing with this emotional turmoil, Daniel also had to confront the fact that he was now the sole financial provider for his seven children. Daniel is 100% service-connected disabled, which makes finances even more strained. Despite the considerable weight on his shoulders, Daniel remained steadfast in his commitment to his family. This was when he contacted The AWP Network, hoping they could be a salvation in helping him through this tough time.
