The Operation Deep Dive team in Phoenix, Arizona gives a brief update on strides in the suicide prevention study.
The Phoenix Community has continued with both outreach for potential interview participants and retrospective data analysis. A partnership involving a data use agreement was recently reached between the University of Alabama and the Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office, which will allow the Phoenix Community Research team to access to the last several years of non-natural death data across Maricopa County. This will allow us to identify a baseline and any trends, due to the high concentration of veterans in this area, amid continued data usage negotiations with the Arizona Violent Death Reporting System regarding statewide data.
