The Permian Warrior Partnership (PWP) is committed to improving quality of life for veterans in the Permian Basin. In September, service providers, community leaders, and veteran advocates gathered for the formal launch of the PWP program. The launch provided an overview of the PWP vision, mission, and team.
“Our goal is to know every veteran that lives in the Permian Basin so we can connect them with the organizations in order to get them the benefits they have earned. Whether that’s housing, education, job placement, disability benefits, disability benefits increases; whatever their needs are,” - Roy Dobbins, PWP Program Lead
The event also featured a roundtable discussion to better understand community barriers and opportunities to improve support for the local veteran population, followed by collaborative networking. We are excited to see more collaborative events like this, to strengthen the Permian veteran community, in the future.
